Dead Rose's explores beauty beyond the traditional moment of bloom.
Deep burgundy dried roses lie across a heavily weathered wooden surface, accompanied by a solitary fallen petal. The faded wood, curled petals and aging flowers create a composition filled with texture and contrast.
The image can evoke memories, fading romance, mortality and the persistence of beauty even as things change. Its muted natural background allows the dark crimson flowers to remain the emotional center of the photograph.
I staged this arrangement of dead roses on a old wooden deck to make a interesting layout for a photograph!
